Why use a LAM Technology stepper driver ??

Some stepper controllers use DB9 and DB15 type connectors for interfacing signals.. time to install is long thus cost more money.
Some of them use tiny little screw connectors trying to save space...big hands anybody ???
Most stepper motor controllers need mounting onto an electrical plate ...
Most controllers need interface series dropper resistors to operate on 24VDC signals
Most stepper controller suppliers  have full/half   mini stepper and micro stepper models
The DS10 series from Lam offers the following features ..
1    Din Rail mountable ..space and huge time savings.. (Click it on  and ready to go)
2    They all use  screw color coded screw terminals for decent size cables .. not fiddly stuff at all
3    Inputs connect directly to 3-24VDC signals NPN or PNP and Line Driver circuits as well.. awesome
4    They are lower cost as  well with higher specs ..we guarantee that ..
5    Higher resolution offered in std models up to 25600 steps per revolution still lowest cost
PLC users please note
If you want a very powerful positioning control system using a PLC is a very good choice.
They offer awesome I/O capability and some of the smaller PLC's even have high speed pulse generation features. Vendors like Omron and Mitsubishi all offer units.
One of the most amazing software packages we have seen is from a US company called Ability systems .. it is a software driver package that turns a PC into a multi axis motion controller.
Check out their website Http://www.abilitysystems.com  contact Mr Arthur Volta
All the step and direction type controllers from Lam Tech work very well with this type of setup.
Please consult with us if you have an application that involves routing we can help you with all the necessary drivers and setup details.         Email or contact us
Using a Propeller Chip for positioning control (embedded type applications)
The Propeller Chip from Parallax is a multi core CPU module.
Point to Point positioning control is easy...run 1 CPU for TX/RX commands and run 3 other CPU's simultaneously with step and direction signals.
All that in a 40 DIP package costing less than $30.00   ( okay you need to program it )
The Propeller coupled with the USD type PCB mount micro steppers is an awesome solution for many very difficult tasks and can be done very cost effectively.. so before you spend 4-5 K on a Multi axis controller check this out and consult with us.
